I am who I am

As the lights of day appears,
The person that I am,
Presents himself to the world,
With a smile that is glued,
Upon the face, as if permanently placed,
Masking the inner turmoils,
Hurtful feelings, filled with sorrows,
Painful emotions which can’t be ignored,
Hiding from the world outside,
Afraid to let anyone know,
The weakling that resides within.

As the blackness from the night arrives,
Another side of me comes out,
Here, being alone is my comfort,
No one to judge me for me,
No whispers in the night,
No voices which seeks to harm,
Alone, safe and sound,
From the chaotic orders,
Of the society which condemns me,
Here in my own realm,
Can’t be hurt, can’t be touched,
Secure within my own fortress,
Impregnable, my very own world,
Where I am alone, being myself.

Frozen, at the precise moment,
Where it’s neither day or night,
Sky is still filled with blackness,
Sky is still filled with lightness,
Balanced with both forces,
Neither one having the upper hand,
Frozen in this precious moment,
Wishing it shall last for eternity,
No expectations, no future,
Enjoying the moment of stillness,
Enjoying all the beauty and calm,
The peacefulness which fills my soul,
No tormented screams, only marvelling,
With a serene mind, sincere thoughts of happiness.
