Fading Light

Understand the pain I feel inside,
See the world through my eyes,
Experience the things I have,
Walk only a day in my place,
Let me know how it feels,
When the lights within starts to fade.

Endure the the things I had,
Fighting towards a losing battle,
Trying each day to be positive,
Feeling the tiredness building up,
The hopelessness of not being able,
To do anything except sit and wait,
The uselessness of it all,
Feeling the strength being drained,
Slowly wasting away into nothingness.

Let me know how it feels,
Seeing the world through my eyes,
Feeling all the pain and hurt I had,
Tell me then if the light inside of you,
Wouldn’t slowly fade away with time,
To know my mind is to live my life,
To know my reasons is to be me,
To know my pain is unbearable,
Wouldn’t even wished these things,
Upon my own enemies,
My burden to bare,
If alone I must stand,
Then alone I will.
