Silence After

Gentle breeze
Blown against nights air
Whispers being carried
Along winds currents
Brushed on by
Softly, slightly touches
Skins exposed in the darkness

Eerily silence
Presence felt strongly
Memories of the past created
Forever strained this night
Voices united, screamed loudly
Around the world, vibrated
All the corners, it was heard

Shocked, stunned into silence
United voices parted ways
Left standing in the rain
Mixed with tears it fell
Even now, makes no sense
Power to spare lives
Power to take lives
Sadness when humanity fails.
