Hourglass Out Of Service

Sand, measurements of time
Steadily flowing down
Within the containment made of glass
Unexpected problems occurred
Cracks appears around the walls
In the house which tracks time

Distorting, disturbing the rhythm
Sand of time flowing unevenly
Unsteady are the amounts which falls
Unable to keep an accurate account
Impossible in knowing how much has fallen

Sands of time
Sometimes being stuck
Unable to fall as it should
Sometimes falling too quickly
Mixing with more sand than it should
Confusing the time keeper
Shattering of the glass completely
Begun only with a crack
One incident is normally needed
For chains of events to be devastating.
