Gifted with life
Life’s energy flows
Through each being
Coexisting, living together
Finding life’s purpose
Woyrthy or unworthy
Doesn’t apply; not ever
Granted with life’s gift
Regardless of reasons
Regardless of our beliefs
Evidence? We are here
Ending another life
Doesn’t show strength
It reveals weakness
Upon those already on their knees
Begging for mercy
In chains, bounded by mistakes
Shackled; without any escape
Tied by the wooden cross
Where life is taken away
Gift of life
Stolen by thieves
With hidden agendas
Such is the way of the world
Losing sight of mercy
Kindness, forgiveness, compassion
A long forgotten trait
