If Only I Were
If only I were a bird
Spreading my wings
With a few flaps
Lifting of the ground
Soaring high above
If only I were a wolf
Roaming with the pack
Wouldn’t be as lonely
Howling at the full moon
Surrounded by family
Leaving the world below
Chasing soft fluffy clouds
Racing invisible winds
All the pain melts away
Higher into the sky I fly
Running through the woods
Feeling rushes of wind
Creatures watches cautiously
As the pack breezes by
Without any care nor worries
In the air or ground
Feeling free as can be
Only in daydreams
Fantasy are reality
Wishes granted by magic
Enchantments, remedy to everything
