Separated By BeliefsĀ

You and I

Are similar in every way

Differences so small yet vast
Separated by definitions

Cultural or beliefs

Widens the gaps further

A great void inbetween
Don’t we feel pain

When others hurt us?

Don’t we feel happiness

When others are kind?

Emotions and feelings

Binds us together; in more ways than one
Differences in opinions

The essence of being human

Our birth right to believe

To be unique, to be ourselves

Threatened by society; by laws
As long as our beliefs are the same

No conflicts can be seen

Yet as soon as it’s different

Problems are destined to be

Who Am IĀ

Questions remained

Endlessly wandering around

Upon the mind like a plague
Questions are answered

Certainty prevails for awhile

Till tragedy strikes unexpectedly

Structures, foundations crumbles

Results in second guesses
Who am I?

What is my purpose?

Why am I here?

Thoughts, on auto replay

Demands elusive answers
